I get hot at night…and then cold…and then hot again and so on. And my dear husband, well he pretty much stays hot all night. I have searched high and low for something to remedy this and have tried several “solutions” to which none actually solved the issue…UNTIL NOW!

I first tried one of those cooling mats only to find it was kind of hard… but hey, at least it was cold… but then it was hot again after my body temperature heated it up and then it was just uncomfortable.

Then I tried the Bed Fan. It stands at the foot of the bed and you have a wireless remote which you can control the fan speed. It was cooling, but it also blew the covers up off of my body and kind of created a tent effect. It kept me cool enough but I also had no blankets to snuggle with.

Enter the ChiliPad… it works great! I will say, the price tag on this is a lot more than the cooling mats or the bed fan contraptions but it is well worth the price for the good nights sleep that it is providing for both me and hubby! We got this as this years Christmas gift to each other and neither of us are sorry. We have the king sized pad and we can each control our temperature to suit our own sleep preferences. We both keep them as low as they will go for the most part and I haven’t woken up once since I’ve had it with night sweats. It isn’t too cold, but it cools just enough and stays that way so you are comfortable all night. I have tried the warmer settings as well and it gets very warm! I was a little concerned about feeling the tubing underneath. I can feel it but it’s not that noticeable. My husband, who can sometimes be a bit picky agreed that the tradeoff is worth it as the tubing is not that noticeable and the continuous cooling is. We also have an adjustable bed frame and the tubing is plenty long enough that it doesn’t pull on the pad or affect the temperature.  All in all, I think this is the perfect gift that keeps on giving and I would have a hard time going back to not having it.

How it works: The pad is a water based system in which tubing runs through ought. You connect the cube and pour water into it which circulates through the tubing and heats or cools to your desired   temperature.

Customer Service: We did have one problem with a connector on the tubing which resulted in a very slow leak at the cube (not anywhere in the bed itself). Customer service was EXTREMELY helpful and fast in troubleshooting and getting the issue resolved.
